8 Days a Week is a privately owned family operated business located in Dundas Ontario established in 1994. “8 Days” has professionally serviced the golden horseshoe and surrounding areas for over 30 years in both the residential, commercial and sportsfield markets.
We are a full-service irrigation company that provides our customers with solutions in all phases of irrigation, from the design phase to installation and maintenance. We are committed to using top quality products, the latest technology and the highest standard of workmanship.
The Beginning…
8 Days a Week was formed and founded in 1994 by two best childhood friends; Tom Blok and Roger Stewart. The irrigation industry boom was just starting to hit the southern Ontario market when Tom and Roger purchased an irrigation design software company franchise out of the USA called “8 Days a Week”. Some may think that the company name comes from the famous Beetles song however this is not the truth. The company name is designed around a week’s watering schedule for a residential property. There are seven days in a week and in order to stick to a “every other day watering schedule”, the property would need to water “8 Days” to fill the week. Pretty cool right. “8 Days” has continued to be a leader in the irrigation industry in Ontario. The company is built on its people and customers. We have strong core values of family and business.
2nd Generation…
In 2018, the company went through its first transition of ownership, where Matt Boschman (nephew of Tom) and Brett Stewart (son of Roger) purchased the company. Since then the company has seen a steady stream of growth. Matt and Brett bring almost a combined total of 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Brett literally has irrigation in his blood and has been with the company since 1998. “8 Days” continues to focus on being a leader in the industry and is revolutionizing the Canadian irrigation industry with a leading focus on technology to improve water conversation, water savings and sustainability.
