What is a Spring Start-Up?
A Spring Start-Up is a thorough inspection and activation of your sprinkler system to ensure optimal performance for the season. Our technicians assess system coverage, program the appropriate watering schedule, and perform any necessary repairs to keep your landscape healthy and efficiently irrigated.
What’s Included in a Spring Start-Up?
Our Spring Start-Up service covers:
- Gradually filling the system with water
- Testing each zone for functionality
- Inspecting and adjusting all sprinkler heads
- Checking rotation, spray coverage, and pressure
- Identifying and fixing leaks
- Setting up the controller and rain sensor
Spring Start-Up Checklist
- Gradually open the main water valve to prevent high surge pressures, uncontrolled flow, and water hammer, which can damage pipes.
- Test all station valves by manually activating each zone via the controller or Hydrawise app.
- Inspect each zone for proper function, water pressure, sprinkler rotation, and coverage. Look for signs of low pressure, which may indicate a line break or missing sprinkler.
- Clean and adjust sprinklers as needed, ensuring they are level with the ground. Replace damaged or malfunctioning components.
Once these steps are completed, your sprinkler system is ready for the season. If major repairs or system extensions are needed, our technicians can schedule them for completion.
